A Store Deeply Rooted in the Community

Lyle Schinke started this business out of his home selling & repairing TVs. He also did antenna service. A motivated man who was self taught (He had to drop out of high school to support the family farm when his father died).

As his business grew, he purchased the home on the location where it currently stands today. This building was originally a home with an attached store front. It was a sporting goods store and we have not moved since. Business was started in 1956. Lyle raised 6 children in this home. As the children became adults and moved out, Lyle tore down more of the house & increased the size of the building for the business, never closing his doors a single day.

Tom is the youngest of the 6. Tom & his wife, Sue, are second generation with children & grandchildren now working at Lyle's TV & Appliance. This is a 4-generation operation. We strive to be “the appliance store with so much more”. The largest & the last independent dealer in Walworth county.

We provide sales & service to residential homes, builders & rental units of all sizes. We can outfit a small home, to the largest of large. Simple to custom.

Tom took the lead from his father. And expanded upon the electronic division. We now can provide the product needed to turn your home into “the smartest home on the block”.
